Torugbene–Ojobo Road: Fuoye commends Oborevwori over infrastructure boost in Delta

By Chancel Bomadi Sunday BURUTU — A chieftain and House of Representatives aspirant for Burutu Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections, High Chief Thompson Robert Fuoye, has praised Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for approving the construction of the 9.463-kilometre Torugbene–Ojobo section of the Bomadi–Tuomo–Tamigbe–Torugbene–Ojobo road. Fuoye also lauded the governor for approving the construction of 3.75 kilometres of internal roads in the coastal Ogulagha community, alongside other projects targeted at improving infrastructure in riverine areas of the state. Speaking on Monday, the philanthropist described the approvals as a clear demonstration of the governor’s commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance across Delta State. He noted that the administration’s “Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda” is yielding tangible benefits, particularly in previously underserved riverine communities. According to him, the Torugbene–Ojobo road project has been widely welcomed by residents, as it is expected to enhance connectivity, ease transportation challenges, and stimulate economic activities in the area. Fuoye said the governor’s actions reflect a strong resolve to fulfil campaign promises and deliver the dividends of democracy to all parts of the state. “I commend His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for this laudable initiative, which has brought renewed hope to our people. The approval of the Torugbene–Ojobo road and internal roads in Ogulagha underscores his dedication to the welfare and development of Deltans,” he stated. He further assured the governor of the continued support of the people of Burutu Federal Constituency, noting that the administration’s people-oriented policies have inspired confidence in a brighter future for the state. Fuoye also called on residents to sustain a peaceful and supportive environment that would enable development projects to thrive, while urging them to back the administration’s agenda beyond 2027 to consolidate ongoing achievements.
