Senator Ipalibo Banigo defects from PDP to APC

By Henry Umoru ABUJA — Senator Ipalibo Banigo, who represents Rivers West Senatorial District, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Banigo said the decision was aimed at aligning politically with the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, in efforts to advance development in the state and support the administration of President Bola Tinubu. Her letter of defection was read on the floor of the Senate by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
