By Olasunkanmi Akoni Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has described President Bola Tinubu’s administration as transformative, saying the government has achieved unprecedented milestones in less than three years and deserves a second term in office. Sanwo-Olu made the remarks on Wednesday during the inauguration of 20 Local Government Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Oregun, Ikeja. The initiative supports President Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general elections and is expected to extend to the state’s 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs). The event saw the distribution of 20 branded buses with the Renewed Hope Agenda logo and the President’s image for mobilization and logistics. It was attended by Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, Chief of Staff Tayo Ayinde, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, APC chieftains, traditional rulers, community leaders, and other stakeholders. State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Lawal Pedro, administered the oath of allegiance to the coordinators. In his address, Sanwo-Olu stressed that the inauguration is not a campaign but a platform to propagate the President’s achievements. “The Renewed Hope Ambassadors have chosen to go to every ward and communicate what President Tinubu is doing. His achievements are numerous: reducing the country’s debt burden, stabilizing the economy, implementing a new minimum wage, providing infrastructure, lowering inflation, and attracting foreign investments,” he said. Sanwo-Olu urged the coordinators to use the vehicles provided to promote these achievements and highlighted Lagos State’s strong participation in APC’s e-registration exercise as a sign of grassroots support. South West Renewed Hope Coordinator, Senator Adeyeye, echoed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, saying, “We are not afraid of the election because we are sure of winning. What worries critics is jealousy over the President’s achievements.” Other coordinators, including Sunday Akere from Osun State and Lagos RHA Coordinator Tayo Ayinde, emphasized that the initiative is not a campaign organization but a national movement to communicate the President’s accomplishments at the grassroots, in markets, schools, and communities. Japhet Odesanya, representing the 20 coordinators from Ikorodu LGA, pledged, “We will go to all nooks and crannies of the State to propagate what Mr. President has done. We are committed to delivering on this mandate.” The inauguration underscored the government’s push to engage communities directly while highlighting Tinubu’s record of governance as justification for a second term.
