Plateau Gov Mutfwang sacks six appointees, suspends Assembly commission chair

By Golok Nanmwa, Jos – Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has approved the immediate disengagement of six political appointees from his administration. The affected appointees are Timothy Golu, Hon. Gwotson Fom, Hon. Nanbol Rimvyat, Hon. Nannim Langyi, Hon. Paul Datugum, and Hon. Nimchak Rims. In a related move, the governor has also approved the immediate suspension of Hon. John Bull Shekarau as Chairman of the Plateau State House of Assembly Service Commission. The decisions were contained in an official statement signed by Arch. Samuel Jatau, Secretary to the State Government (SSG). The statement did not provide specific reasons for the sack and suspension but noted that the governor appreciated the affected officials for their contributions and services to the state during their tenure.
