Peter Obi donates ₦30m to Paul University, urges students to prioritise education

Obi was received during the visit by the university’s proprietor, Archbishop Alexander Ibezim, who expressed appreciation for the donation, describing it as a significant boost to the school’s infrastructure and academic programmes. The Archbishop assured that the funds would be judiciously utilised for projects that would directly benefit both students and the institution. Speaking at the event, Obi commended the steady progress of the university, noting that each visit reveals visible improvements in its facilities and academic environment. He also urged students to remain focused on their studies, stressing that education remains the most reliable pathway to personal growth and national development. In her remarks, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna, described Obi as a consistent supporter of the university. She thanked him for his continued generosity and commitment to the institution’s growth, noting that his contributions have made a meaningful impact.
