Oyo ADC clarifies MRMR Committee appointments

By Adeola Badru The Oyo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has clarified that Chief Bisi Ilaka was not appointed to its Membership Revalidation, Mobilisation and Registration (MRMR) Committee. In a statement on Monday, the party explained that appointments to national committees must be formally sponsored by the State Chapter and transmitted through the State Chairman. The party confirmed that Ilaka was not nominated or endorsed by the Oyo State chapter for any national assignment. The ADC confirmed that the officially nominated representatives from Oyo State on the MRMR Committee are Mr. Ayo Akinyemi as Chairman and Professor Folake Tafita as Secretary. Their nominations were properly sponsored and inaugurated in Abuja. The party urged members of the public to disregard any reports suggesting otherwise and reaffirmed its commitment to following established procedures for appointments.
