Mr. Peter Obi has visited Ehime General Hospital in Ehime Mbano, where he donated ₦10 million to support ongoing efforts to deliver quality healthcare services. Obi was warmly received by the Most Rev. David Okechukwu Chikezie Onuoha, alongside other clergy and members of the hospital management. The Archbishop commended Obi’s consistent commitment to supporting critical sectors such as health and education, describing his interventions as impactful and selfless. The hospital, which has been handed over to the Diocese, is currently undergoing renovation, with plans to establish a nursing school within the complex to strengthen healthcare training and service delivery in the region. The Diocese is expected to oversee the facility for more efficient management and improved service to the community. Speaking during the visit, Obi emphasized that investment in healthcare and education remains central to national development, noting that a healthy and educated population is the foundation of a productive society. He also called on government to support such initiatives, stressing that faith-based institutions are playing a key role in bridging gaps in essential public services. The visit highlights ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and expand training opportunities in Imo State through collaboration between private individuals, religious institutions, and the public sector.
