By Johnbosco Agbakwuru ABUJA – Top management of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) converged in Abuja for the annual Management Performance Review (MPR) on Thursday, to assess the past year’s achievements and set bold targets for the future. Managing Director and CEO, Barrister Oluwaseun Falaye, described the event as “not a routine calendar event; it is a deliberate pause to reflect, evaluate performance honestly, and reset our priorities where necessary in order to deliver better outcomes for the institution and the people we serve.” He positioned participants as key stakeholders driving the organization’s success, recalling last year’s Lagos session as a pivotal shift “from assumptions and comfort zones toward clarity, responsibility, and measurable results. “Since then, NSITF has strengthened operations, aligned manpower, expanded service reach, accelerated automation, and engaged stakeholders more effectively—repositioning the Fund as a “responsive, credible, and value-driven social security institution.” Anchoring the review under the theme “Reinforcing NSITF’s Role in Building Trust and Delivering Value Towards Strengthening the Social Security System,” Falaye emphasized: “Trust is earned through consistency, transparency, and professionalism. Value is demonstrated when our processes work, when decisions are fair, and when outcomes meet expectations.” The MPR will roll out performance targets centered on five priorities: expanding coverage in private and informal sectors; enhancing claims processing timeliness and transparency; boosting operational efficiency and financial discipline; advancing digital transformation; and upholding integrity across all levels. Falaye urged data-driven, honest presentations from attendees, including the Executive Directors, General Managers, Heads of Departments, Regional and Branch Managers. In her welcome address, Executive Director of Operations, Hon. Mojisoluwa Ali-Macaulay, hailed the MPR as “a structured opportunity to assess how far we have come, evaluate execution effectiveness, and identify areas needing greater focus and discipline.” She highlighted two years of foundational improvements in service delivery, manpower alignment, automation, and performance monitoring—delivering “measurable value for employers and employees.” A key highlight: NSITF has launched new branches and service delivery centres to streamline compliance activities and improve access to officials, building on successful 2024 MPR implementations.
