Mrs. Soludo urges Christians to emulate Christ during lent

By Vincent Ujumadu The Nonye Soludo, wife of the Governor of Anambra State, has called on Christians to live out the teachings and image of Jesus Christ throughout the Lenten season. In a message to mark Ash Wednesday, Mrs. Soludo emphasized the need for believers to draw closer to God and prepare spiritually for Christ’s resurrection at Easter. “The holy season of Lent begins with the liturgical feast of Ash Wednesday. For every Christian, this is a solemn period of supplication and atonement,” she said. She reminded Christians of the brevity of life and the importance of living with love and purpose. “In the next 39 days of Lent, it’s expected that we’ll live out the true image of Christ and lay down the swords of enmity and bitterness for the overall good of mankind,” she added. Mrs. Soludo prayed that the season would serve as a time for families and communities to grow in unity, love, harmony, and peace.
