MEA Energy plans 250 fuel stations, 3,000 jobs in five years

The rollout, to be executed in phases, aims to boost employment, support local economies, and strengthen energy security, with host communities benefiting from roles across operations, logistics, and allied services. Speaking at the launch, MEA Energy CEO Chinenye Atanda described the initiative as a long-term investment in Nigeria’s energy and economic future. She emphasized the impact of job creation, noting that employment supports not only individuals but entire families and communities. “At MEA, this station is not just about selling fuel—it is about building trust in our operations, safety standards, and professionalism,” Atanda said. She added that the Bwari station meets strict safety and environmental standards in line with regulatory requirements and global best practices. The company’s retail strategy focuses on trust, transparency, and quality service, marking the start of MEA Energy’s sustainable growth in Nigeria’s downstream sector.
