By Olasunkanmi Akoni The All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, has dismissed reports alleging that its State Chairman summoned all Supervisory Leaders of Government (SLGs) and supervisors to the party secretariat in Acme over directives purportedly issued at the Presidential Villa. The newly re-elected Lagos APC Spokesman, Seye Oladejo, made the clarification in a statement on Wednesday, describing the report as false and misleading. According to the statement, the party was aware of claims suggesting that the State Chairman had recalled all SLGs and supervisors to Acme in connection with alleged instructions from the Villa. “We wish to categorically state that this report is false, misleading, and clearly intended to create unnecessary tension within our party and among the public,” the statement read. Oladejo stressed that at no time did the State Chairman issue such a directive, nor was any emergency meeting scheduled as speculated. He reaffirmed that the Lagos APC remains a disciplined, transparent, and law-abiding political party guided by due process and collective decision-making. The spokesman added that the party’s priority at this time is to put necessary structures in place ahead of the forthcoming national elections. “We are fully committed to strengthening our internal processes and mobilizing effectively to ensure continued progress and victory at the polls,” he said. The party advised members, supporters, and the general public to refrain from spreading or entertaining rumours capable of creating unnecessary tension in the polity. It assured that official updates would continue to be communicated through its recognized channels.
