...as Otti Inspects Renovated National Secretariat By John Alechenu, Abuja The Interim National Chairman of the Labour Party, Senator Nenadi Usman, has expressed confidence that the party has overcome its major challenges and is on a path to revival. Usman said the ongoing renovation of the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja reflects renewed energy and a fresh start for the party. On Tuesday, she conducted the party’s National Leader, Alex Otti—who also serves as Governor of Abia State—on a guided tour of the secretariat complex. Confirming the development in a post on her verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, @SenNenadiUsman, she wrote: “Today, I had the honour of conducting the National Leader of the Labour Party, HE Alex Otti, round the Labour Party National Secretariat in Abuja, currently undergoing extensive renovations. This transformation reflects the renewed energy within the party. LP is truly back!” Recall that Senator Usman assumed full management of the party after the Independent National Electoral Commission formally recognised her and Senator Darlington Nwochocha as Chairman and Secretary of the Labour Party, respectively. The party also commended the Nigeria Police Force for “flushing out vandals and miscreants” who recently attempted to break into the party’s secretariat complex.
