By Johnbosco Agbakwuru ABUJA — PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu on Thursday, met with Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, at the Presidential Villa ,Abuja. The meeting came on the heels of the deadly attack on Worro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State. More than 100 people were killed in the community in what authorities described as an attack by suspected jihadist fighters. But in a decisive strike against the rampaging terror gripping Nigeria’s heartland, President Tinubu ordered the deployment of a military battalion to parts of Kwara State following the deadly attack on Kaiama Local Government Area that left scores of residents dead. Some of the drastic action include the appointment of a field commander and the immediate commencement of a military operation tagged Operation Savanna Shield. This was disclosed on Wednesday by the President’s Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. Onanuga, in a post on his verified X handle, @aonanuga1956, said the President’s intervention was aimed at providing immediate relief to affected communities and restoring security in the area.
