By Ayo Onikoyi Social media influencer Uzzybarby has publicly condemned individuals allegedly using her images to defraud unsuspecting victims online, expressing outrage over what she described as a growing trend of impersonation scams. In a post shared on her Instagram page, the influencer voiced her frustration in strong terms, resorting to Yoruba expressions to emphasize her anger. She accused the fraudsters of stealing her photos to lure and exploit men, warning that their actions would not go unpunished. Uzzybarby also lamented that some victims continue to fall for the scams despite warning signs, noting that the situation is particularly troubling because people still send money to impostors pretending to be her. Reacting to the development, she wrote: “All these scammers using my pictures to defraud people—I have even posted another one so you can steal it again. I will soon catch you. It won’t end well for you.” She further clarified her online presence, stating that she is not active on certain platforms often used by impersonators. “For those sending money to the wrong person, I don’t know what you want. I’m not on Twitter, and my only Facebook name is Amadi Calista,” she added. The incident highlights the increasing rate of identity theft and impersonation scams on social media platforms, with public figures often becoming prime targets.
