By Enitan Abdultawab Reality TV star Tope Adenibuyan, popularly known as Teddy A, has spoken out about the emotional toll of false allegations that he physically abused his wife, actress Bamike “Bambam.” In a recent interview on the WithChude Podcast, Teddy A said the claims, which circulated widely on social media and included accusations of abuse during Bambam’s pregnancy, left both him and his wife shocked and confused. “When they said I was beating my wife, which was a lot, I woke up, went downstairs, my wife was there, she was watching a movie, she was pregnant and laughing,” he recalled. “Then I checked my phone and saw my notifications going off. Why would they say that? Why on earth would they do that? It affected me because it made people see me in a way that wasn’t true,” he added. He also explained that he initially followed advice to stay silent and allow the story to die down, but later realised that approach allowed the false narrative to continue influencing public perception. “I called my manager to ask what we should do, and he told me not to fuel the fire and just let it go. At the time, I didn’t really see the damage staying silent would do to my reputation,” Teddy A said. The reality star’s account is an indication of the personal and reputational impact of social media misinformation a
