Gov Yusuf accepts Water Resources Commissioner’s resignation

Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has accepted the resignation of Water Resources Commissioner, Umar Haruna-Doguwa, effective March 3. Haruna-Doguwa served as Commissioner for Education before his redeployment to the water resources sector, where he contributed to educational reforms and the expansion of water supply. This is contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, in Kano on Tuesday. Yusuf expressed appreciation to the former commissioner for his commitment, loyalty and dedicated service to the people and government of Kano State during his tenure in office. The governor had appointed Education Commissioner Ali Haruna-Abubakar-Makoda to oversee the water resources pending the appointment of a new commissioner. Vanguard News
