Food security drive gains boost

Following the recent commissioning of its yoghurt facility in Kaduna State, global leader in dairy products, Arla Foods, has expressed commitment to strengthening the local dairy value chain and supporting food security The firm said this while unveiling its 100 per cent fresh milk, Cool Cow yoghurt, sourced from the Arla-Dano Farm in Kaduna. Based on reports from the Food and Agriculture Organisation, FAO, of the United Nations and related international health guidelines, 100 per cent fresh milk is a nutrient-dense, high-quality food that provides essential nutrition, particularly in the diets of children and vulnerable populations. Experts have also said 100 per cent fresh milk provides essential amino acids necessary for muscle repair, growth and immune system function, among others. Meanwhile, Head of Marketing, Arla Foods Nigeria, who spoke on the organisation’s latest move in the industry, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce Cool Cow Yoghurt to Nigeria. This launch is a big step in our journey to make high-quality, locally produced dairy more accessible.
