Ex-minister Kayode commends Tinubu on key appointments

In a statement over the weekend, Kayode congratulated the newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Olatunji Disu, Minister of State for Finance, Taiwo Oyedele, Ambassador to Russia Sola Iji, and Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim. He also praised the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, for their performance, noting that their work has elevated Ondo State as a center of intellectual and professional excellence. Kayode highlighted innovations introduced in the Nigeria Immigration Services under Tunji-Ojo, saying they have simplified processes and reduced stress for citizens accessing services. He described Oyedele as a financial expert with specialization in taxation and lauded Disu as a “well-regarded and quintessential police officer,” urging him to lead with integrity and modernize the police service. “It’s worthy of commendation, the appointments recently made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, considering the quality of the individuals selected,” Kayode said. “I also thank the President for nominating these worthy sons of Ondo State for national assignments.”
