By Chinedu Adonu The Managing Director of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd, Architect Chibuikem Onyekachi Emmanuel, has described Enugu State as fortunate to have Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, comparing his leadership to that of global icons such as Lee Kuan Yew, Charlemagne, Deng Xiaoping, and Mahatma Gandhi. Onyekachi spoke on Tuesday in Enugu during celebrations marking Governor Mbah’s 54th birthday, praising the governor’s nearly three years in office for placing Enugu on the map as a hub for industrialisation, infrastructural development, and all-round growth. He highlighted Mbah’s pro-business policies, particularly in real estate, noting advancements in land management through the establishment of the Enugu Geographic Information System (ENGIS), reforms at the State Ministry of Lands, and the efficient administration of the Survey Department by the Office of the Surveyor General. “Governor Mbah’s leadership has fostered peace in Enugu’s political landscape through inclusivity and his willingness to accept constructive criticism,” Onyekachi said, adding that the governor’s vision for economic expansion and job creation is already producing tangible results across various sectors. He further stated that Enugu is increasingly seen by investors as a reliable business hub, thanks to improved infrastructure and clear policy direction, and expressed confidence that the state will witness even greater transformation in the coming years. Onyekachi concluded by praying for continued blessings on Governor Mbah as he prepares to launch his re-election campaign.
