By Luminous Jannamike The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says many Nigerians are going through tough times but insists the situation will not last, urging people to hold on to faith, resilience and unity as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr. In its Eid message, the party shifts from the usual greetings to something more grounded, recognising the daily pressure on families while encouraging Nigerians not to lose hope or their sense of shared humanity at a difficult moment. The message was contained in a statement on Friday by Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the ADC. “As Nigerian Muslims mark the end of Ramadan, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) extends warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to you and your families. This season reminds us that even in the most challenging times, faith, sacrifice and resilience can restore our confidence in a better tomorrow,” the party said. The ADC said what many Nigerians are experiencing right now is real, but should not define the future. “Across the country today, many families are facing real difficulties. Yet, the spirit of Ramadan teaches us that hardship does not have the final word; perseverance, compassion and unity do. “As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month, may the values of discipline, generosity and devotion that defined the past weeks guide us towards building a more just, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria for all,” it prayed. The party also used the message to restate its broader vision for the country. “The ADC remains committed to a future where every Nigerian can live with dignity, security and opportunity,” Abdullahi added.
