ECWA pastor abducted in Plateau

By Golok Nanmwa, JOS The Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, has confirmed the abduction of one of its senior pastors, Rev. Sunday Bobai Agangs, in Plateau State, even as it grapples with a separate daring attack on its congregation in Kwara State. In the Plateau incident, armed bandits stormed the pastor’s resident in the early hours of Tuesday morning and abducted him. Also earlier this week in Kwara State, suspected bandits stormed an ECWA church service at Oke Oro LCC in Oro Ago, DCC, Ifelodun Local Government Area. The assailants abducted eight worshippers, injured several others, and made away with mobile phones and other valuables. ECWA leadership, in a statement by Acting Public Relations Officer Danjuma Dickson Auta, said the church is closely monitoring both situations and has engaged relevant authorities. The statement appealed to members and the general public to remain calm but fervent in prayer. “The Church is calling on everyone to remain calm but prayerful because God is going to fight His battle Himself,” it declared.
