2026-03-11 - 10:58

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Disciplinary Committee has upheld the fine of N4 million against Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi. This is contained in a statement signed by the committee’s secretary, Ms Queen Otarakpo, on Wednesday in Bauchi NAN this followed a protest concerning their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match against Katsina United FC played on Feb. 8, 2026, at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium (ATBS), Bauchi. The decision was reached at a meeting of the committee after reviewing the protest lodged by Wikki Tourists against sanctions earlier imposed by the league body. In its findings, the committee held that Wikki Tourists failed to provide adequate and effective security during the match, noting that unauthorised persons gained access to restricted areas after the first half. It also established that supporters of the Bauchi-based club threw dangerous objects, including stones, onto the field of play during the encounter. (NAN)
