Breaking: CBN eases MPR by 50 basis points to 26.5%

By Emma Ujah The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has eased the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) by 50 basis points to 26.5%. It also retained the standing facilities corridor at +50 to -450 basis points and kept Cash Reserve Requirements unchanged (deposit money banks 45%, merchant banks 16%, and 75% for non‐TSA public sector deposits).
