ABUJA — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said that the gains recorded by his administration are a collective achievement, stressing that the credit does not belong to him alone. In a message to Nigerians to mark his 74th birthday, the President expressed gratitude for the widespread goodwill, prayers, and support he has received from citizens across the country. Tinubu acknowledged the contributions of Nigerians, noting that their patriotism, solidarity, and resilience have played a crucial role in sustaining his administration’s reform efforts. “The credit for the positive outcomes we have achieved does not belong solely to me, our Renewed Hope team and to our government. We achieved the gains together,” he stated. The President also appreciated those who took out newspaper advertisements and broadcast messages to celebrate him, as well as his wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their kind words. Reiterating his long-standing tradition, Tinubu disclosed that he would mark this year’s birthday on a low-key note, in line with the prevailing mood of the nation. Reflecting on the journey of his administration, he admitted that Nigeria has faced significant challenges since the introduction of key reforms but expressed optimism about emerging progress. According to him, “our sacrifices have not been in vain,” adding that there are encouraging signs of improvement despite temporary setbacks linked to the ongoing Middle East crisis. As his administration approaches its third anniversary, Tinubu expressed confidence in the government’s ability to deliver a brighter future for Nigerians. “We are determined to confront the challenges we face today, and with your continued support, we shall overcome,” he said. The President called for sustained unity and cooperation among citizens, urging Nigerians to remain committed to building a stronger, more prosperous, and resilient nation. Tinubu concluded by thanking Nigerians once again for their support and goodwill, while reaffirming his commitment to national development.
