APC orders immediate inauguration of newly elected State, LG, Ward Excos

By Omeiza Ajayi ABUJA: Following the conclusion of its nationwide elective congresses, the ruling All Progressives Congress APC has directed the immediate swearing-in and inauguration of all newly-elected executive committee members at the Ward, Local Government and State levels. National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, stated that the move is in strict accordance with the relevant provisions of the APC Constitution. According to the party’s leadership, the inauguration of the duly elected officials is expected to take place Tursday or shortly thereafter to ensure the seamless administration of the party across all tiers. “The All Progressives Congress hereby directs that the Ward, Local Government and State Executive Committees duly elected at the 2026 Congresses of the Party be sworn in/inaugurated today or soon hereafter,” the statement read. Reflecting on the internal electoral process, the party leadership expressed satisfaction with the engagement of its members during the exercise. Morka noted that the successful completion of the congresses marks a significant milestone in the party’s internal democratic journey ahead of future political engagements. “Our great Party wishes to thank all members, stakeholders and supporters for the peaceful conduct of Congresses around the country. Congratulations to all,” Morka added.
