Aiyedatiwa appoints 32 permanent secretaries, others

By Dayo Johnson Akure Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, of Ondo state, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service. This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, in Akure, the state capital. The appointees include Mrs. Tayo Ogundare, Mrs. Morayo Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Mrs. Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile, Stephen Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Mrs. Oluwakemi Akinyemi, and Bamidele Daisi. Others include Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Mrs. Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Mrs. Oluseyi Odusola, Mrs. Funke Adelayi, Dr. Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr. Mrs. Abike Ilawole, Tpl. Abimbola Tofowomo, and Kolawole Kayode. Other Permanent Secretaries appointed include Dr. Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Akinbola, Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Surv. Idowu Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Mrs. Toyin Awotoye, and Ayodeji Ayeku. Governor Aiyedatiwa also confirmed key appointments into statutory positions, including Olusola Sunday Ajayi as Statistician-General and Dr. Charles Tunde Ojuolape as Auditor-General for Local Governments, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly. Adeniyan said that “The confirmation and appointments take effect from 1st February, 2026. The Chief Press Secretary added that the swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed officers will be held on a date to be announced later. He noted that latest round of elevations comes as part of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s ongoing efforts to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency and service delivery.
