The Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Barrister Azeez Alatoye, has called for a peaceful world through the sharing of love and upholding the dignity of mankind. This was contained in an Eid-ul-Fitr message marking this year’s Ramadan fast, titled “Seek the Love of Allah to Achieve the Purpose of Your Creation”. Barrister Alatoye noted that the recently concluded Ramadan was a challenging period, not only for the Muslim ummah but for all of humanity. He expressed concern that the world’s precarious situation could have been avoided if mankind had lived according to the commandments of its creator, which is the only way to express love to Allah and earn His love. “It is ironic that we use man-made products for purposes for which they were manufactured but fail to live according to the purpose for which we were created”. Quoting from the Holy Quran (Chapters 3, verse 32, and 51, verse 57), Barrister Alatoye emphasized that the purpose of human creation is to worship Allah and serve humanity. : “Say, ‘If you love Allah, follow me: then will Allah love you and forgive you your faults. And Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.’ “And I have not created the Jinn and the men but that they may worship Me.” He cited the examples of the Holy Prophet Muhammad and the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, who demonstrated love for Allah through worship and service to humanity. The leader urged Muslims to continue seeking Allah’s love beyond Ramadan, by maintaining a life of worship, humility, and service to others.
