By Omeiza Ajayi Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, a former governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Abdulaziz Yari, has launched a new political movement aimed at consolidating nationwide support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu. National facilitators of the movement, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar and his deputy, Emmanuel Osita, disclosed this in a statement issued Saturday in Abuja. They said the new national political movement known as The Renewed Hope Network, TRHN, was conceived by Senator Yari, following extensive consultations with political stakeholders, grassroots leaders, youth organisations, women groups and former elected officials across the federation who share a common vision of strengthening and sustaining the Renewed Hope Agenda currently championed by the administration of President Tinubu. The statement noted that the network is a broad-based national coalition comprising grassroots politicians, respected political actors, notable public figures, community mobilisers, women leaders, youth organisations, and a formidable structure of former councillors drawn from all the 774 Local Government Areas of Nigeria. The facilitators explained that the movement represents a deliberate effort to unite progressive voices and grassroots political structures under a coordinated national platform committed to national development and political stability. “Our collective resolve is anchored on the conviction that Nigeria is currently on a path of economic recovery, institutional reforms, and renewed national optimism under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. As patriotic Nigerians and stakeholders in the country’s democratic future, we believe it is necessary to consolidate these gains by building a strong grassroots movement that will mobilise support nationwide,” they declared. They further stated that the primary objective of The Renewed Hope Network (TRHN) is to galvanise massive grassroots support across the federation for the re-election of President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, while also promoting citizen engagement, political inclusion, and national unity. The facilitators also announced that arrangements have reached an advanced stage for the official national launch of the movement, which is expected to attract thousands of supporters, political stakeholders, youth leaders, women groups, and representatives from across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
