2027: Peter Obi won’t get my support, says Cubana Chief Priest

By Enitan Abdultawab Celebrity barman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has declared that he will not support Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election, stating instead that he plans to work against the former Anambra State governor’s anticipated bid. The nightlife entrepreneur made the remark during an exchange with followers on Instagram on Tuesday. A user had asked him directly, “So in simple terms, You are working against Obi in the upcoming presidential election. lol.” Responding, Cubana Chief Priest confirmed his stance, writing, “yes oh hope say no be crime cuz I worked for Obi last election even as special adviser to an APC governor.” His comments quickly generated mixed reactions online, with some users questioning his political loyalty and others referencing his past encounter with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Responding to one such comment, he dismissed concerns, saying, “If you never go to the EFCC for Naija, you never make it.” The discussion also touched on Biafra and political support from the South-East, with Chief Priest telling a user to support their preferred candidate. He emphasised the need for development in the South-East, questioning the user’s contributions to the region. “Go and support who you want to support. As you like Biafra, how many developments have you done for the South East?” he wrote.
